There were three races (Wednesday, Friday, and the biggy on Saturday). A pool was made up for the Saturday race and both of us won with Matt Kenseth. Even nephew Christopher won one of the money spots.
They're everywhere, they're everywhere.
Bristol Racetrack: our first glimpse driving to the campsite
Just the beginning at the campsite. That's Roger and Sam unloading his golf cart. Can you find the Blue?
Close your eyes if you are screamish cuz this is one really ugly spider who was pregnant and Gretchen was instructed to step on it and out came a hundred babies!!!! Spray finished them off. Give me a shot of that moonshine now!
Low country boil: shrimp, corn, potatoes, sausage: all served on newspaper.
The "boys" getting on the bus to go to the race on Friday. Gretchen yelled to take care of her kids!
Two really tired face fans. Can you see Christopher and Alan?
Winner's Celebration entrance ticket where you go down on the track and see the winner.
Good old steak dinner before the Saturday race.
Roger and Darlene having what looks like a serious conversation. Not!
These are volumteers since our President slashed the budget for fly overs.
So Roger couldn't find Gretchen's head phones. Hey, Rog, use your head!
Winner's Celebration with Chris and Alan on the track
Squeal marks and Chris's feet!
Alan on the right, Chris's back on the left under the start/finish flag stand.
The winner: Matt Kenseth. Thanks Matt for the win!
Here is what you see for miles on Route 58 in southern Virginia: Christmas trees...it's beginning to look a lot like...............
