Sept 12th: Portland, Maine

Sept 12, Thursday.  A good day to travel to Portland.  We found an American Legion that traded license plates and met the ower of Gilberts, a seafood place on the water.  Of course, we went there and had another Maine seafood dinner.  Hey, Gretchen, had her first oyster (battered as it was) but really enjoyed itl
Breakfast:  Neuke's bacon (what else?) home fries.   folowed by eggs and toast.  Thanks, Roger, you are such a great cook.

Peter and Roger and Post 181 in Portland Maine exhchanging plates.

This Legion bar is soooo high that all G had to do was lean forward to sip in her drink.  Remodeling is on its way since the bar was originally designed for stand up customers only!

Met the owner back at the Americal Legion.

G tasting her FIRST oyster, battered and enjoying it!

Just another happy oyster couple in Portland, Maine.

So we get back to the campsite in the rain.  Outside this widow is a firepit that guess we  will be soaked logged.  A night in the motorhome and a game of gin rummy...and a few cocktails!
