Sept 4th: Yale

Mystic KOA, Connecticut is the MOST beautiful park we have ever been to.  Cement patio, Weber grill, 4 chairs/table, and a slider!  So nice we will be back before the game 9/21.  Yale University was impressive - so much beauty that began over 300 years ago. And the co-eds were dressed in style.

Mystic, CT KOA - a real beauty.  Look at those chairs and the grill and cement patio!!

In 1900, Louis "invented" the hamburger.  No ketchup, mustard, or french fries.  Just burger, freshly ground daily and served on toast.

Louis Lunch burgers are cooked in front of diners in these vertical gas grills.

The burger!

Nathan Hale:  "My only regret is that I only have life for my country"  He was 21.  His room at Yale is behind this statue where he was with the class of 1773.

Yale Skull and Bones Society (no windows, no admittance). Founded 1832 and is Yale's oldest secret society but we know that George Bush, Senior, was a member and legends say that the remains of Geronimo are interred within its walls.  What a great story!   Too bad we could not enter.

Harkness Tower.

Look who attended Yale: Gerald Ford, Bushes, and this is where Bill met Hiliary.

In addition to Yale claiming to having the frisbee invented here, pizza, or tomato pie, belongs to New Haven, CT.  Cooked in brick oven beginning over 75 years ago.

Sam Adams for Gretchen, Peroni (Italian beer) for Roger.  What a size difference!

The brick ovens to cook the pizza.

...and this was a medium!

Roger back a Louis Lunch.  This is how small this place is.  With only a about three more small booth that seat two people.
